Inter Milan have expressed an interest in a swap deal, which will see them send Ivan Perisic to Arsenal and getting Mesut Ozil in return.
However, the Serie A side wants the Gunners to pay half of Ozil’s wages, while he is on loan at the San Siro.
Ozil is paid a mega £350,000-a-week by Arsenal, but hasn’t had much of a look-in since Unai Emery replaced Arsene Wenger as manager.
The German has been linked with a move away this month, but his sky-high wages are understood to have put many clubs off.
Perisic on his part, is keen to leave Inter this month.
The Croatian winger has already submitted a transfer request.
