Students rushed to separate them but they were unsuccessful. They were both soon on the ground and were dragging at each other's clothes.
The student said to the teacher at one point:

Bitch I'll kill you. Do you know that? I'll fu***** kill you.

The girl then bit the teacher's hand and spat in her face.

Newlywed couple divorce 3 minutes after getting married

A newlywed couple have become the couple with the most short-lived marriage after they divorced just 3 minutes after getting married.
Only seconds after they signed their marriage contract in a courthouse, the wife tripped and the groom called his new wife 'stupid' for tripping over. In tears, the bride demanded an annulment.
Local media reports that the judge officiating the ceremony dissolved their marriage on the spot. They had only been married for three minutes and this leaves them with the shortest partnership in Kuwaiti legal history .
Reacting to the divorce following what is now being referred to as the shortest marriage, social media users defended the woman and said it was no use wasting her time with a man who has no respect for her.
One wrote:

If this is how he acts right at the beginning, it’s better to leave him.

Its becoming normal for dads to impregnate their daughters in Edo State' – Commissioner for Women Affairs, Ohenhen

Edo State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Magdalene Ohenhen has revealed that it is becoming a normal thing in the state for fathers to impregnate their daughters.

She described the situation as very sad, saying the earlier the state stopped it, the better. She made the disclosure, yesterday, during a protest by the Brave Heart Initiative for Youth and Women (BHI) led by Lady Grace Osakue.

The group was seeking  justice for 17-year-old Gift Alonge who was said to have been impregnated by her father. The victim was alleged to have been first impregnated in 2017 by her biological father, Jacob Alonge, and later in 2018.
“It’s a very sad situation. Edo State is becoming something else, and the earlier we stop it, the better for us. It is becoming a normal thing in Edo State for men to impregnate their own daughters,” the commissioner said.
Ohenhen cited another case of a man who slept with her daughter for over 10 years before the case was reported to the police. She said: “It is time we stopped all these. Edo State forbids it, it is a taboo. We are begging Edo men to stop sleeping with their daughters, it is an abomination.”

End ASUU crisis without delay' Senate President, Bukola Saraki tells FG

President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, has called on the Federal Government to immediately end the strike of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) that is entering its 62nd day.

In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu, Saraki emphasised the need for Nigeria’s universities to be re-opened without further delay, highlighting the fact that the education of Nigeria’s young people is being negatively affected by the stance of the government and is also disenfranchising the youths, many of whom are registered to vote in their universities??but are now stuck in their homes.
“In November 2016, the Senate intervened in the ASUU strike and met with the officials of the Ministries of Education and Labour, Employment and Productivity and the Academic Staff Union of Universities.
“At that meeting, which was attended by the Minister of State for Education Anthony Anwuka and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Productivity in the National Assembly, we agreed that the Federal Government should work to implement the agreement that it reached with ASUU in 2009, and subsequently, we set up a sub-committee to liaise with both ASUU and the Federal Government on this issue.“The Federal Government must immediately work to address the demands of the Academic Staff Union of Universities ( ASUU), because this issue goes beyond negotiations. It is affecting the education of Nigeria’s students, and disenfranchising many of them from participating in the upcoming general elections.
“Make no mistake, we cannot continue this system whereby our universities will be frequently shut down, thereby slowing down the education of our young people??and creating negative bottlenecks that place unnecessary stress on our universities.
“In another vein, our youth make up over 51 percent of registered voters. What does this mean for our electoral process, when young students who are registered to vote in their academic institutions, cannot do so because their schools are shut down? This is unacceptable.
“In this regard, I call on the Federal Government to immediately work on meeting the demands of ASUU and honouring all its prior commitments. On our part, the Senate will continue to work to ensure that Nigeria’s education sector is strengthened??and we are ready and willing to collaborate with both the Federal Government and ASUU to end this strike, and ensure that it does not become a recurrent issue,” Saraki stated.

Nigerian man says he is scared of getting married because ''men die first in marriage''

Nigerian man has stated that he is scared of getting married because ''men always die first in marriage''.
Okwudiri wrote this on Facebook after a report by AFP on Monday, about a new study by the National Academy of Sciences, a peer-reviewed US journal, stated that women tend to outlive men and stay mentally sharp longer, because female brains appear on average about three years younger.
The study enrolled 121 women and 84 men, who underwent PET scans to measure brain metabolism, or the flow of oxygen and glucose in their brains.

Like other organs in the body, the brain uses sugar as fuel. But just how it metabolizes glucose can reveal a lot about the brain’s metabolic age.
Subjects ranged from their 20s to 80s, and across those age spans, women’s brains appeared metabolically younger than men’s, said the findings.

A machine-learned algorithm showed that women’s brains were on average about 3.8 years younger than their chronological ages.
And when compared to men, male brains were 2.4 years older than their true ages.“It’s not that men’s brains age faster,” said senior author Manu Goyal, assistant professor of radiology at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis.

“They start adulthood about three years older than women, and that persists throughout life,” he added.

One theory is that hormones might begin shaping brain metabolism at a young age, setting females on a pattern that is more youthful throughout their lives, compared to men.

Scientists hope to find out if metabolic differences in the brain may play a protective role for women, who tend to score better than men on cognitive tests of reason, memory and problem solving in old age.

It “could mean that the reason women don’t experience as much cognitive decline in later years is because their brains are effectively younger,” said Goyal.

More work is underway to confirm and better understand the implications of the research.

Unbelievable! See The Amount Of Voters Registered In Borno According To INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday said that 2, 315, 956 eligible voters were registered for the 2019 general election in Borno.
Alhaji Muhammad Ibrahim, the State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), revealed in Maiduguri that the figure was the cumulative voters registered as at end of December 2018.
He said that Continuous Voter Registration (CRV) was conducted between April 2017 and December 2018 as part of comprehensive preparations for the 2019 general elections.
The REC said that over 504, 000 voters were captured in the exercise, adding that the exercise captured new registered voters, replacement of cards and those on transfer.
Elaborating on the Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) collection exercise, Ibrahim explained that 278, 497 of the 504, 000 cards were collected as at February 4, representing over 70 per cent. He, however, expressed optimism that the remaining cards would be collected before the end of the exercise.
The REC said that the commission had engaged community and religious leaders to create awareness and promote participation in the exercise.
“There was low turnout at the beginning of the exercise due to poor attitude of the people, but we have recorded upsurge in participation and collection of the card in the past few days.
“We are hoping that the remaining cards will be collected before the end of the exercise,” he said, adding that the commission had designated 5, 071 Voting Points (VPs) and 3, 933 Polling Units (PUs) in the state to ease the collection.
On the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), Ibrahim said that 409, 833 displaced persons were registered by the commission and had developed frame work and guidelines to enable them exercise their franchise.Ibrahim said that the displaced persons were categorised into intra-state and inter-state IDPs, noting that the former would vote in all the elections, while the latter vote only in the presidential election.
He said that IDPs from eight local government areas of the state would vote in various camps located in Maiduguri and other communities.
The commissioner listed the affected councils to include Abadam, Guzamala, Marte, Dikwa, Ngala, Kukawa, Mobbar and Kala Balge.
“Effective arrangements have been put in place for inter-state IDPs to vote in the state of domicile so that they will not be disenfranchised.
“Smart Card Reader in IDPs camp will be configured to the Registration Area (RA) level.
“Registration Area is different from the Polling Unit (PU). In PU, you can go further, it is the last point of voting, but if there is insecurity, you stop at RA”.
