Ministers Transferred N1.5bn From Ministry’s Account To Fund Jonathan’s Campaign – Witness Claims

The witness told Justice Rilwan Aikawa of the Federal High Court, Lagos, that the fund was transferred to an account belonging to one of the accused for campaign purposes.
An investigator with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Shiabu Shehu, has alleged that two ex-ministers and others transfered N1.5 billion from imprest account of Ministry of External Affairs with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to fund former President Goodluck Jonathan’s re-election campaign in 2015.
Shehu, who is the third prosecution witness in the ongoing trial of former Minister of State for Finance under Jonathan, Mrs. Esther Nenadi Usman, former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, under ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, Danjuma Yusuf and a company, Joint Trust Dimensions Nigeria Limited, told Justice Rilwan Aikawa of the Federal High Court, Lagos, that the fund was transferred to an account belonging to one of the accused for campaign purposes.
He said that the beneficiary of the funds was neither a contractor nor service provider to the ministry.
The witness, who was led in evidence by the EFCC’s lawyer, Rotimi Oyedepo, said he became familiar with the charge preferred against the accused in February 2016, after a petition against them over an alleged fraudulent transfer of funds from the ministry’s account was assigned to his team to investigate.
Shehu said their investigation linked the former minister, Usman, and Yusuf to the account, and Yusuf and some members of his family who were directors in the company.

Touching!! Woman finds out her boyfriend saved her life six years before they met

man donated blood to save a random woman's life 11 years ago, not knowing that the woman will one day become his girlfriend.
Lin Xiaofen was involved in a life-threatening accident 11 years ago in Taiwan. After the horrific crash, Lin was in a critical condition and doctors had to pump her with 10 pints of blood and two isolated platelets. She eventually recovered but was left with a disorder which meant she was in need of further blood donations.
A man named Lian Zhicheng was one of those who donated blood for Lin Xiaofen when she needed more blood years after her accident.
6 years later, when Lin moved to Hsinchu in north-west Taiwan, she met Lian and they felt an 'instant connection' and began dating. When she told her new boyfriend, a regular donor, about her accident and what happened after, Lian joked that he might have been the one who donated the blood that saved her life.
few tests later, and the couple confirmed that in fact, Lian was one of the blood donors who had saved Lin years after her accident.

Talking about the accident which occured in 2008 and how she needed subsequent donations a few years later, Lian joked he was giving his blood at the time and whether she’d been given his.
So they checked the donor’s ID number with the staff at the station which took in the donation and confirmed that it was Lian.
Lin told Pear Video:

When they told me it was a Mr. Lian from Hsinchu, I felt surprised.

And Lian joked, asking the public to donate blood because 'you might have a chance to save your future wife.'

Italian authorities have been denying residence permits in their hundreds and have started removing migrants from centres as the government?s hardline immigration measures kick in.Approved in December, the Salvini decree ? named after Matteo Salvini, the interior minister and leader of the far-right League ? abolishes humanitarian protection for those not eligible for refugee status.
?After discovering he couldn?t even count on the humanitarian permission that was cancelled by the recent decree, one of our boys took his own life,? said Fr Giacomo Di Martino of the charity Migrantes.

Fr Alex Zanotelli, a member of the Comboni missionaries in Verona, described Jerry?s death as ?a state murder, the bitter fruit of the Salvini decree, which besides insecurity produces deaths?.
?Many of the migrants and refugees we treat in our projects have already passed through traumatic experiences in their journey, in many cases with episodes of violence and torture in Libya,? Lilian Pizzi, a psychologist with Mdecins Sans Frontires in Rome, told the Guardian.
?When they arrive in Europe they are often retraumatised by arbitrary policies that reduce their rights and by an atmosphere of hate and racism amplified by the media. And all this exacerbates a sense of powerlessness and exclusion.?More photos below...

The breakup caught many Kenyans by surprise as countless thought she was a relationship guru who could fix hers.
